A Letter From Steven Ngowi

Dear Friends, Partners, & Supporters,

It is my honor to share another year of progress, hope, and partnership through the Ndifo Community Development Foundation.

When I first came upon Likamba Primary School, I saw children eager to learn in conditions no child should face: overcrowded classrooms, unsafe buildings, and basic needs still unmet. But I also saw determination, dignity, and the bright spirit of children who believed education could transform their lives.

Because of you, this past year brought real and visible change. Likamba Primary School is becoming a safer, healthier, and more hopeful place for learning. Classrooms are being improved, sanitation is protecting children’s health and dignity, and daily needs like water, meals, safe spaces, and community support are strengthening the foundation for education.

In the year ahead, we will continue this work with renewed purpose. We will expand girls’ health initiatives so more girls can stay in school with confidence and dignity. We will support new teachers with strong English teaching skills, helping students communicate and dream beyond their village. We will bring solar panels to Likamba, creating reliable electricity and internet access. With donated computers, this connection will open the world to Likamba’s students.

We are also excited that a hen house is now under construction, a practical step toward food security that can help nourish children, support the school meal program, and teach sustainability.

To every donor, volunteer, teacher, family, local leader, and friend of NCDF: Asante Sana. Because of you, dignity is being restored, girls are being protected, classrooms are becoming brighter, and Likamba Primary School is becoming a place of promise.

We still have mountains ahead of us. But we have already seen what is possible when compassion becomes action. Together, we will keep climbing.

Asante sana for walking this journey with us.
